Intercultural Toolkit, towards a more inclusive workspace

The Intercultural Toolkit is a skill-building platform for people in leading positions and their teams to succeed and thrive through diversity. It offers information and a variety of tools regarding interculturality to help individuals and organisations build an inclusive workplace for maximum benefit.

Helsingin Seudun Kauppakamari wanted to create a site to solve the difficulties in finding the right information for employers and their teams when hiring professionals with different cultural backgrounds. This would serve as a first step towards a more inclusive working environment.

Through research we found that all the information needed was scattered around different sites and in many levels. Our solution was to create a simple toolkit that would display the information in a clear manner. We achieved this by categorising the vast information and breaking down the articles into small, bite-size sections. The navigation had to be clear and always serving as a reference to in what level the reader is.

The final result is a responsive modern web solution that has the API capabilities for future expansion. For the client the CMS is an easy way to input information and it will automatically be distributed across the web. For the user we have gathered all content under one platform for accessibility and clarity. The end result is a simple and clear digital product that helps the client to communicate and the user to understand.
